The Clinic

Marnie Bowie R.N. B.Sc.N. C.C.R.N., has over 25 years experience in the health care industry. Marnie is Canadian born and educated., and attended University of Manitoba and Laurentian University. Marnie specialized in the cosmetic industry and continues to keep relevant and current with Canadian standards. Marnie has a current Canadian License with the RNAO and is trained in medical procedures. Marnie is internationally well travelled, fluent in English and is currently learning Spanish.

​Botox

The Coastal Dermal Clinic specializes in performing BOTOX Cosmetic (Botulism Toxin) treatments in order to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles in the areas treated.   Botox relaxes the muscles under the skin and therefore reduces the wrinkling caused by muscular contraction. This procedure is temporary and will relax muscles for approximately three or four months.  

​Financial considerations can be accommodated by dividing Botox treatment up into affordable partial treatments.

​Kybella / Sagoni injections for submental fullness or "Double Chin"

Kybella might be right for you if:

• You’re bothered (unhappy, self-conscious, embarrassed) by fat under the chin, also known as submental fullness
• You feel the condition makes you look older or heavier than you actually are
• You don’t want to have surgery
• You eat well and exercise, but submental fullness does not go away

HOW KYBELLA® WORKS

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

Hyaluronic Acid Filler

Soft tissue dermal or wrinkle filler approved  for injection to help create a smoother and/or fuller more youthful appearance in the face. Hyaluronic acid filler reduces wrinkles and fine lines. This naturally derived filler will add volume and smooth out the deep creases that run from nose to mouth, plump lips and smooth out vertical lines around the edges of the lips. It can also be used to revitalize the skin by increasing skin elasticity structure. Hyaluronic acid is produced naturally by the body. This non animal based product is designed to act like your own naturally produced hyaluronic acid. This is a temporary procedure lasting at least 6 months or longer, depending on the individual.
